New career paths at Munich’s 11th job fair
120 companies, countless visitors and Mr. Bean made up Munich’s 11th job fair (the “11. Jobmesse München”), where our HR team made their first appearance of the year. Over the weekend of February 9th-10th, those interested in finding out about bet-at-home.com as an employer as well as our current openings and trainee programmes flocked to southern Germany’s biggest job fair.
“Although online applications are very popular nowadays, we think that personal contact is also hugely important. The job fair in Munich was the perfect opportunity to present ourselves as a modern employer. After all, several thousand visitors come to this job fair,” explained Silke Gruber, head of HR at bet-at-home.com.
This strategy worked. Plenty of visitors came to the booth and they greeted the speech given by Silke Gruber with applause. And to top things off for everyone involved, the booth was visited by no less than Mr. Bean. “Unfortunately we couldn’t convince him to relocate to Linz or Malta,” joked Oliver Hermann, the deputy head of the HR department, who seized the opportunity to take a selfie with the Brit.
Other people showed a lot of interest in the numerous exciting positions that bet-at-home.com has to offer – which you can find here!
“We were able to hold some productive talks and there was particular interest in the positions available in the customer service team,” said Silke Gruber, who was very pleased by the weekend’s success.
